Suzanne always loved expressing herself through the arts (music, painting, dance, and sculpture). Her introduction to sculpture happened through her mother, who invited Suzanne to her sculpting course hosted by a sculptor family friend. She thoroughly enjoyed working there for 2 years, where she sculpted her 2 children before returning to classes.

Upon retiring, Suzanne resumed sculpting classes, this time under Michèle Lavoie at the Saidye Bronfman Center. When the association closed its doors, she followed Michèle, who led sculpting courses at the ateliers du Canal de Lachine. Many happy years followed, sculpting alongside Michèle Lavoie, where she learned a great deal and where she sculpted “her life”.

When Michèle Lavoie retired in 2022, Suzanne continued to sculpt on the same premises, which were taken over by an NPO, “Les Ateliers de la Pierre du Québec” under the direction of Alexandre Maquet. She plans to continue sculpting there as long as she can while enjoying it.
